Buffalo, NY- Old rivals Hilbert and D'Youville did battle at the Riverside Athletic Complex in an AMCC men's soccer match that saw all the scoring come in the second-half.

The two team's battled to a 0-0 halftime score. Hilbert scored in the 60th and 63rd minute to take the lead 2-0.  D'Youville answered in the 74th minute on the fifth of the year from Josh Pfuntner (Wayland, NY/Wayland-Cohocton).  Jordan Wabick (West Seneca, NY/Orchard Park) assisted on the tally.

Hilbert answered 40 seconds with a marker that would prove to be the game-winner. 

The battling Spartans added a second goal when Mate Tarr (Forro,Hungary/Un es Kolegium) drove one home with 1:24 to play, assisted by Pfuntner.

D'Youville got one last possession and worked up the field forcing the Hilbert keeper to make a save with 10 second left to play.

D'Youville returns home to the Riverside Athletic Complex to play Mount Aloysius October 20.  Start time is 7:00 p.m.  Prior to kickoff, the team's five seniors: Edward Appah, Mate Tarr, Josh Pfuntner, Neil Janes, and Jordan Wabick will be honored.
