AS A JUNIOR (2023)
Named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team... Played in 16 games while making 14 starts... Scored one goal while adding an assist... Bernas' lone goal was the game winner against Ursuline College (09.19.23).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2022)
Played in 16 games while making nine starts... Scored one goal... Had seven shots with four coming one goal.
AS A FRESHMAN (2021)
Started seven times for the Saints and made 17 appearances in her freshman campaign on Porter Avenue ... Finished second on the team in goals (5) and points (13), third in assists (3), fourth in shots on goal (12), and fifth in shots (19) ... Bernas made her collegiate debut on Sept. 2 in D'Youville's season opener against Nyack where she scored her first career goal, which led to her being named East Coast Confernce Rookie of the Week on Sept. 9.Â
Why D’Youville?
I chose D’Youville because it allowed me to continue my athletic career as well as be in one of the top programs in Western N.Y. for the physical therapy program. Coming from a small high school, I loved the transition to D’Youville because it has the same atmosphere!
Career Goals
I want to become a Physical Therapist and work with athletes, and possibly open my own practice!
Personal
Daughter of Kim and Jason Bernas. Sister of Johnny Bernas- 14. Loves hanging out with friends and family, as well as rollerblading!
