D'Youville University

Shelby Russell joined in 2022 as the assistant coach with the D'Youville women's volleyball team, taking over as an assistant coach after graduating with a nursing degree from DYU in 2022.

Prior to her time at D'Youville, Russell was a four-year NCAA Division I volleyball player at the University of Southern Mississippi. During her time with the Golden Eagles, she compiled numerous starts as a defensive specialist. She earned a Bachelor of Science in tourism and hospitality from Southern Mississippi in 2016.

Currently residing in Buffalo, N.Y., Russell enjoys spending time reading and hanging out with family and friends.
