D'Youville University

Lauren Ciurzynski is in her sixth season as head coach and her 11th season overall with the D'Youville women's crew program, previously being a student-athlete and assistant coach for the program.

Ciurzynski served as an assistant coach for two seasons under John Dorn, before taking over the program for the 2015-16 campaign. 

During her three years as a student-athlete at D'Youville, Ciurzynski rowed in the stroke and coxswain positions, and was part of the boat that set the school record for the 2k.

In high school, Ciurzynski competed in cross-country, track and field, and swimming. Currently, she holds state powerlifting records in New York and Pennsylvania across two weight classes.

The Attica, N.Y., native graduated from D'Youville with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports studies.
