Ona Halladay serves as Vice President for Athletics & Planning at D’Youville University, a role to which she was appointed in February 2024. In this senior leadership position, she oversees 21 NCAA Division II sports, and leads the university's strategic planning efforts, driving key performance indicators and aligning campus-wide goals with institutional priorities.

Halladay first joined D'Youville in 2013 as head softball coach and, following roles in compliance and senior administration, became Director of Intercollegiate Athletics in 2019. Under her leadership, D'Youville successfully transitioned from NCAA Division III to Division II, rebranded from Spartans to Saints, and launched four new sports: men’s lacrosse, women’s track & field, women’s wrestling, women’s field hockey, Acrobatics & Tumbling, and Women’s Flag Football.

In 2024, D'Youville celebrated historic athletic success with Women's Volleyball and Softball capturing the university's first conference championships in the Division II era, a significant milestone for the Saints athletic program under Halladay’s direction.

Academically, D’Youville earned its first NCAA Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence with a student-athlete success rate of 98%, reflecting the department's strong commitment to academic achievement and holistic student development.

Beyond D’Youville, Halladay is actively engaged in national athletics leadership. She represents the East Coast Conference (ECC) on the Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2 ADA) Board and holds leadership roles within the ECC, NCAA, and NACDA.

She holds a B.S. in Psychology from SUNY Brockport and an M.S. in Sports Management from Canisius University. She resides in East Aurora with her wife, Kate, their daughter, Lennon, and their son, Harvey.
