Peter Petruzzo is in his second season as an assistant coach for the D'Youville men's soccer program, joining the staff in 2019 after wrapping up his four-year playing career in net for the Red and Black.
As a senior in 2017, Petruzzo started six of his seven games played, posting a career-low goals allowed average as he played a large role in the team's berth into the AMCC playoffs.
Petruzzo had a career year as a junior in 2016. That season saw the Clarence, N.Y., native set career-highs in games played, games started, minutes, saves, save percentage, wins, and shutouts. He earned his first career shutout and first career win against Pitt-Greensburg as he made 10 saves, following it up with a 10-save win over Hilbert.
Petruzzo, a product of Clarence High School, earned his bachelor's degree in business management from D'Youville in 2018.
