D'Youville University

Darian Evans is in her second season as an assistant coach for the Saints' softball program following a four-year playing career at D'Youville.

The Brant, N.Y., native played four years for both the women's basketball and softball teams at D'Youville. An outstanding student-athlete in both sports, Evans served as the women's basketball team captain for her junior and senior seasons.

For softball, Evans finished her career seventh in hits (94), sixth in RBI (55), and third in home runs (nine). During her freshman season, Evans had career highs in hits (35), runs scored (18), and RBI (20) across 36 starts as her team won the AMCC regular season title and advanced to the 2016 AMCC championship game. Her sophomore campaign saw Evans play in 26 games and lead the team in home runs (four) while ranking second in RBI (16), while her junior season in 2018 had Evan tied for team lead in home runs (2) and finish third in RBI (13). The utility player finished her career with 25 hits and 13 runs scored in her senior season.

Continuing her education at D'Youville, Evans is currently in the ESS/DPT program.
