D'Youville University

Andre Allen started working with the D’Youville University men’s basketball program in 2022.

Allen comes to DYU from Olympus Sports Academy where he was the head coach and contributed to player development. He’s helped send numerous athletes to play Division 1 basketball. In 2021, Allen helped them place #6 in the nation at post-grad nationals in Rock Hill, SC. national prep level. Before Olympus, Allen worked at Impact Basketball in Las Vegas as a player development specialist. At Impact he helped the Los Angeles Lakers during mini-camp, the same year they went on to win a ring in the bubble. He also worked closely with plenty of NBA, overseas, and postgraduate students who were looking to enhance their skills and stay polished. Prior to Impact Basketball, Allen was responsible for directing and leading the United States Basketball Academy located in Tianjin, China. He lived in China for a year where he traveled the country and helped the youth learn more about basketball fundamentals.  

Before transferring to Virginia State University, Allen played quarterback at Ferrum College during his freshman season, sophomore year he played JUCO basketball at Nova Community College where they won a school record of 23 games in a row that season.

Allen earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Health in 2015.
