Alex Henderson enters his second year as the Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant at D'Youville University. In his role, he assists with promoting the Saints' athletic programs through game-day operations, communications, and digital media while supporting the department's mission of showcasing student-athlete and team accomplishments. Henderson brings a diverse background in leadership, event management, and sports administration, along with a strong commitment to organization, collaboration, and delivering a positive experience for student-athletes, coaches, and fans.
Prior to joining D'Youville, Henderson served as a substitute teacher and football coach with the Coeur d'Alene School District, where he developed student-athletes both in the classroom and on the field. He also spent two years as Recreation Manager at Hillcrest Country Club, overseeing a staff of 25 employees, coordinating youth sports leagues, and directing summer recreation programming. Earlier in his career, Henderson served as Sports Coordinator for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County, creating opportunities for youth participation in athletics while leading football and cheer programs. A graduate of Boise State University, Henderson earned a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with certifications in Sport Administration and Sport Coaching, along with a minor in Communications.
