BUFFALO, N.Y. — D'Youville (18-16, 8-8) secured a commanding 12-4 victory over Queens College (9-23, 3-10) at Dobson Field, followed by a decisive 11-3 win against the Knights, showcasing strong offensive performances across both games.
In the first game, Queens College took an early lead in the first inning with two unearned runs on a throwing error, making the score 2-0. The second inning was quiet, with neither team scoring. In the third inning, the Knights added another run with a single, bringing the score to 3-0. However, D'Youville made a significant comeback in the fourth inning.
Isabella Mancino (Wynantskill, N.Y. / Averill Park) tripled, bringing in two runs, followed by
Shannon Howes (Palgrave, Ontario / St. Thomas Aquinas) reaching on an error to score another.
Danielle Fenlong (Georgetown, Ontario / Christ the King) and
Frankie Morris (Lancaster, N.Y. / Lancaster) each added RBIs, with Morris doubling in a run.
Summer Clark (Williamsville, N.Y. / Williamsville East) capped the inning with a two-RBI single, giving D'Youville an 8-4 lead.
