BUFFALO, N.Y. – Closing out the regular season, the D'Youville University women's track & field team traveled to near by University at Buffalo for the UB Alumni Invite.
Jenna Capolupo had a solid day for the Saints, placing in the top-10 in three events. In the field, Capolupo set a new personal best in the long jump with a distance of 5.73m, placing third. On the track, Capolupo placed fourth in the 200m (25.43) and seventh in 400m (59.63).
Lilianna Peters had a strong showing in the 3000m steeplechase, placing third with a time of 11:50.76.
Elaina Williams was close behind, placing seventh with a time of 12:46.79.
Kendall Parker churned out a ninth-place finish in the 100m dash, finishing with a time of 12.45. In the 800m,
Sokhna Diagne placed 10th with a time of 2:19.43.
Sienna Uebelhoer also had a tenth-place finish, finishing with a time of 5:06.24.
In the field, the Saints dominated the javelin throw, having three competitors placing in the top-10.
Barbara Kunz place second with a distance of 30.5m,
Tayden Persons placing sixth with a distance of 26.25m, and
Jordin Brown rounding out the trio with a throw of 25.81m to place eighth.
Nicole Lewis placed ninth in the triple jump with a distance of 9.99m.
Morgan Heise also had a ninth-place finish, this one coming in the discus throw with a distance of 28.00m.
The Saints will now set their sights on the ECC Championships on April 30th, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University.
