D'Youville Honors Senior Night in Battle With Roberts

BUFFALO, N.Y. — On a night dedicated to celebrating its senior class, Madison Handley, Danielle Gephart, Madison Buck, Lauren Parker, and Sam Newlin. D'Youville competed throughout but fell 19-6 to Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday evening at Dobson Field.

The Saints came out with energy in front of the home crowd, as Madison Handley netted an early first-quarter goal to tie the game at 1-1. Handley led the Saints offensively with three points, finishing with two goals and an assist in her Senior Night performance.

Roberts Wesleyan used a strong first quarter to build separation, but D'Youville continued to battle. The Saints capitalized on a player-up opportunity in the second quarter, when Madison McGinn converted to keep momentum alive.

Offensively, D'Youville saw balanced contributions across the lineup. Sam Newlin recorded three points with a goal and two assists, while Madison Buck added a pair of helpers. Lauren Parker controlled possession throughout the game, tallying a game-high 11 draw controls to go along with a goal.

The Saints showed resilience in the second half, continuing to push offensively. Danielle Gephart found the back of the net in the third quarter, and D'Youville closed the game with fourth-quarter goals from Newlin and Handley.

Defensively, the Saints forced six caused turnovers and saw contributions across the field. In goal, Kaylee Farias made four saves before Sarah Reifsnyder entered in relief.

While the result didn't go their way, the night remained meaningful for D'Youville as the program honored its seniors. Their leadership and impact were evident, with the Saints continuing to compete through the final whistle on a special Senior Night in Buffalo.
