EDINBORO, Pa. – Making their season debut, the D'Youville University women's cross country team made the short trio down the I-90 and competed in the Doug Watts Open hosted by Edinboro University.
Lilianna Peters made her freshman debut and was the first Saints to cross the finish line, finishing 23rd out of the 113 runners with a time of 19:37.1 in the 5k race.
Elaina Williams was the next DYU runner to cross the finish line with a time of 20:03.6 to place 35th.
Close behind was the junior
Lily Schulz with a time of 20:25.3 to placed 42nd. Not long after Schulz finished the race,
Andrea Marquina came in with a time of 20:42.0 and placed 48th.
Overall, DYU placed 5th with an average time of 20:21.
The Saints will be back in action on September 27th as they team travels east to compete in the Harry F. Anderson Invitational hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University.
