D'Youville dominated the match with 33 kills and 11 service aces, while limiting St. Thomas Aquinas to a .055 hitting percentage. The home team capitalized on strong serving and defensive play, securing a decisive victory in straight sets.

The first set commenced with D'Youville taking an early lead thanks to a block by Maddie Boglev and senior Isabelle Prentice. The teams traded points, with the Spartans briefly pulling ahead, but D'Youville responded with a key kill by Anna Chechelnytska assisted by Alina Bertens Deckart to tie the score at 3-3. The set remained closely contested, with neither team gaining a significant advantage until D'Youville capitalized on multiple service errors by St. Thomas Aquinas to keep the score tight. As the set drew near its conclusion, Madeline O'Brien delivered a crucial kill to extend D'Youville's lead to 23-21. The set concluded with a kill by Boglev, securing a 25-22 victory for D'Youville.

D'Youville gained momentum midway through the second set with a series of strategic plays. Prentice's kill, assisted by Bertens Deckart, marked the start of a crucial scoring run, tying the game at 4-4. Giselle Ramirez then delivered consecutive service aces, pushing D'Youville ahead to 12-9. The Spartans momentarily challenged, closing the gap to 14-12, but D'Youville responded effectively. In the third set, D'Youville took control with a significant run that began with a kill by O'Brien, leveling the score at 1-1. The momentum continued as Boglev and Chechelnytska contributed key points, including Chechelnytska's impressive service aces, which pushed the home team ahead 18-5. The Spartans attempted to counter but struggled to close the gap effectively. D'Youville maintained their lead through consistent scoring, including kills by Ramirez and Boglev, reaching a set-high advantage of 24-13. Despite a brief rally from St. Thomas Aquinas, D'Youville secured the set with a final point off an attack error by Kamila Zoe Rosa, concluding the set at 25-14. The Saints will look to clinch a playoff bid to the ECC playoffs with a win against Roberts that takes place Wednesday, Nov. 12th at 7:00pm in the Saints Center gym.
