MANSFIELD, Pa. — D'Youville University field hockey made the short trip down to Pennsylvania, falling to Mansfield University by a score of 4-0 Wednesday afternoon.
D'Youville began the first quarter with strong defensive efforts, highlighted by a
Sarah Reifsnyder key save against a shot from the Mounties early in the game. The Mounties maintained pressure, earning several penalty corners, and converted one into a goal at 6:32. D'Youville's defense, led by Reifsnyder, stayed resilient with multiple saves, but the team found themselves trailing 1-0 at the close of the quarter.
The second quarter began with a strong defensive showing by D'Youville as goalkeeper Reifsnyder made multiple critical saves against the Mounties' offensive attempts, including a pair of shots.
