BUFFALO, N.Y. — D'Youville women's tennis continued its strong start to the fall season with a dominant 7–0 sweep over Daemen University on Friday afternoon at Royal Park.
The Saints took control right from the start, winning all three doubles matches to secure the opening point. Erika Ismailova and Florentina Schmidt struck first with a decisive 6–1 victory, followed by Munisa Ashurbekova and Miranda Bosch, who clinched the point with a 6–4 win. Mina Randjelovic and Nele Herbst completed the sweep with a 6–3 result.
D'Youville carried that momentum into singles play, delivering strong performances across the board. Ashurbekova earned a hard-fought 6–3, 6–4 win, while Herbst followed with a convincing 6–1, 6–1 victory. Randjelovic was in top form, not dropping a single game in a 6–0, 6–0 win.
The Saints stayed sharp through the rest of the lineup. Ismailova recorded a 6–4, 6–1 win, Bosch followed with a commanding 6–1, 6–1 performance, and Schmidt secured the sweep with a 6–1, 6–0 victory.
With the 7–0 result, D'Youville continues to build momentum as the fall season heats up. The Saints next test comes on October 18th when they travel to take on the University of the District of Columbia.
