However, D'Youville quickly responded, with Cameron Ulinski and Madeline O'Brien each delivering key kills, leveling the score at 2-2. Despite a series of service errors, the Saints maintained momentum with a series of successful plays, including a service ace by Ulinski and a block by Ailanice Rodriquez and Ulinski.

As the set progressed, D'Youville capitalized on errors by the Penmen, with Alina Bertens Deckart setting up multiple scoring opportunities, including a pivotal service ace. D'Youville ultimately secured the set with a 25-21 victory, concluding with a decisive kill by Ulinski.

D'Youville seized momentum in the second set with a strong service performance by Deckart, who recorded two service aces, including one to open the scoring. O'Brien and Ulinski each contributed key kills, with Ulinski securing multiple points off assists from Deckart. Despite service errors, the Saints maintained their lead, capitalizing on the Penmen's attack errors and adding crucial points through decisive play-making.

Ulinski and Giselle Ramirez further extended D'Youville's advantage with well-timed kills. The visiting team closed the set as Angelyn Jaramillo delivered a service ace, concluding the set at 25-17 in favor of the Saints.

D'Youville overcame an early deficit in the third set with a resilient performance, highlighted by a four-point run to tie the game at 10-10. O'Brien contributed significantly with a kill and an assist, while Jaramillo's service ace added to the momentum shift.
