BUFFALO, N.Y. – In their first home East Coast Conference of the season, the D'Youville University women's soccer team fell to Queens College Saturday afternoon by a score of 2-0.
 
Playing to a draw in the first half of action, the Knights were able to get on the board in the 46th minute to take the 1-0 lead. Queens was able to tack on another in the 67th minute of play to take a 2-0 lead.
 
The Saints (0-6-1, 0-2-0 ECC) saw their first shot on net come in the 78th minute with Laoise O'Haodha (Limerick, Ireland) putting one on net but was turned away. O'Haodha had another looked at net in the 87th minute but was denied.
 
Katie Liljenquist (Salt Lake City, Utah) went the distance in net, making one save on the day.
 
DYU will be back in action next Saturday, October 5th, as they travel to St. Thomas Aquinas College for a 1 p.m. start.
