D'Youville University 3 vs Mercyhurst University 2 – Overtime
The Saints offense bounced back strong after being shut out last Sunday. D'Youville immediately took control in the first quarter earning a penalty corner early. Alexis Schleef (Akron, N.Y. / Akron) got a shot off, but the Mercyhurst Goalkeeper intervened.
The Saints got two more penalty corner opportunities in the eighth minute and Kelsey Robertson knocked in the first goal of the game for the Saints. The Lakers got two shots off before the end of the first quarter, but Hayden Herbold (East Aurora, N.Y. / Iroquois) was solid in goal and recorded two saves from the shots.

Mercyhurst controlled the second quarter recording four shots, but three saves from Herbold and a defensive save from Chloe Burkhard (Vestal, N.Y. / Vestal) kept the Lakers from scoring and the Saints held the 1-0 lead into halftime.
Mercyhurst held strong on offense after the half and quickly took the 2-1 lead eight minutes into the third quarter. The Saints got their chance on offense again with a penalty corner and converted with Olivia McClaine knocking one in to tie the game at two.

The Saints controlled the offense for the majority of the fourth quarter but were unable to convert two penalty corners into goals and the game headed into overtime. The Saints were quick to act in overtime and Kelsey Robertson came up big just a minute into overtime play scoring her seventh goal of the season to give the Saints the 3-2 win over the Lakers.
