BUFFALO, N.Y. – The D'Youville Softball team returns home after a weekend of ECC Conference play on the road. The Saints get set to take on non-conference opponent Malone University on Tuesday, April 9th.

Last Time Out
The Saints finished 1-3 on the weekend ending with a 1-0 win against Queens College after eight innings. Sarah Parzych (Getzville, N.Y. / Williamsville North) tossed the full eight innings in the win recording her first shutout of the year along with a season-high nine strikeouts. Emily Przybysz (Hamburg, N.Y. / Frontier Central) had a great weekend hitting .364 and scoring five runs. Przybysz earned five stolen bases throughout the four games. Her last stolen base put her at 38 career stolen bases which now puts her as D'Youville's all-time stat leader.
 
What to Know About the Malone University Pioneers

• The Pioneers are 20-10 overall this year and 6-6 in GMAC Conference play.
• Malone is led by Head Coach Jeff Hite, and he is assisted by Jerry Reynolds.
• The Saints are 1-1 all-time against the Pioneers following a doubleheader played at the beginning of the season. The Saints opened up their season against Malone in West Virginia with the Saints defeating the Pioneers 11-5 in game one and falling 11-0 in game two.
• The Pioneers offense is led by Amber Miller who is currently batting .405 across 79 at bats.
• Mia Rose has been the go-to pitcher for the Pioneers and currently holds a 1.77 ERA across 106.2 innings of work.
