The Saints were victorious over the University of the District of Columbia last Friday, defeating the Firebirds 80-61. The Saints only held an eight-point lead with five minutes left in the fourth quarter but closed out the game on a 15-3 run to clinch a convincing 19-point win. Jaelyn Vleer-Elliott (Waterville, N.Y.) dominated the Firebirds in the paint, scoring a season-high 17 points, grabbing a season-high seven rebounds, and recording two blocks. Anna Jankovic (Averill Park, N.Y.) turned in a solid performance as well, scoring 14 points and grabbing a team-high nine rebounds, along with two steals. Stella Mollica (Shillington, Pa.) facilitated the offense with a team-high six assists, while also tallying 15 points and a season-high six rebounds. Brianne Moxley (Penfield, N.Y.) also turned in a double-digit scoring performance with 13 points and going 3-4 from behind the arc.
