Box Score 2 STATEN ISLAND, NY – The D'Youville University softball team went into extra innings in game one for the second straight day, this time falling to the College of Staten Island, 2-1, in nine innings.
GAME 1 – CSI 2, DYU 1 F/9
- CSI struck first in the bottom of the opening frame as a one-out triple plated one, 1-0
- Mikayla Bush led off the fifth with a single through the left side before being pinch run for by Tatiana Boyd
- Bryanna Dewey's single put runners on first and second with one away before Gianna Adamo's two-out knock to left center tied the game at 1-1
- DYU was unable to capitalize on Hannah Bardeen's double to start the sixth while a pair of two-out walks in the seventh were left stranded
- The Saints again had runners on first and second in the eighth but a fly out along with a runner leaving early abruptly ended the inning
- DYU turned a double play to work around a CSI lead off hit by pitch in the bottom of the inning
- Jamie Bower was left on second after a two-out walk in the ninth while CSI threatened with a one-out single in the bottom half
- After a groundout moved the runner up to second with two outs, the next Dolphins hitter singled through the left side to walk it off for CSI, 2-1

Game 2: CSI 7, DYU 5
- Laura Beck's double to left followed by a Bush single put DYU a top 2-0 after the opening frame
- CSI responded with a leadoff single and a double to cut the deficit in half, 2-1, after one inning of play
- The Dolphins again went single, double to start the third before an RBI put them ahead 3-2.
- Boyd began the fourth with a single which Dewey followed with a triple to left to tie the game at three, but DYU hit in a double play to end the inning
- A pair of productive Saints' out from Emily Przybysz and Boyd put DYU ahead 5-3 after 4 1/2
- CSI answered once again as an error and a wild pitch trimmed the margin to one before a two-out single scored the second unearned run of the frame, 5-5
- DYU retired the first two batters of the sixth but three straight CSI hits brought two runners home to give them a 7-5 advantage
- The Saints were sat down in order in the seventh to end the ballgame
