Box Score 2 RINDGE, NH – The D'Youville University softball team were only able to muster a pair of runs in their losses to Franklin Pierce University on Friday, falling 6-1 and 8-1 to begin their six-game weekend.
GAME 1 – FPU 6, DYU 1
- FPU began the first with a single and a hit by pitch before a double plated both, 2-0 FPU
- The fifth straight hitter to reach base safely made it 3-0 before an RBI groundout put the Ravens ahead 4-0 after one
- The Ravens used a sacrifice fly to bring another across in the third
- DYU would leave runners on first and second in the fourth and the bases loaded in the fifth to head to the sixth down 6-0
- Gianna Adamo doubled to start the seventh and two batters later Hannah Bardeen singled to put runners on the corner. The Saints pushed one across via a double steal play as they fell 6-1
Inside the Numbers:
Game 2: FPU 8, DYU 1
- FPU again put up a four-spot in the first via a bases loaded walk which was followed by a 2-RBI single to left
- Laura Beck's two-out single brought Emily Przybysz home in the fifth but FPU answered with two in the bottom of the frame, FPU 6-1
- The Ravens tacked on a pair of insurance runs in the sixth on their way to a 8-1 victory

- Beck: 3-4, RBI, accounted for 3-of-4 DYU hits
The Saints begin East Coast Conference play at Queens College on Sunday, March 26th at Noon.
