BUFFALO, N.Y. — The D'Youville University women's basketball team played a hard game against the Firebirds of the University of the District of Columbia. Sophomore, Anna Jankovic, put up 15 points in 35 minutes on the court. After 40 minutes, DYU couldn't find any weaknesses in UDC's game, taking the loss 80-40.

FIRST QUARTER

• UDC starts early with a layup 12 seconds in.

• Brianne Moxley hits the first three- pointer of the game at 7:51. 5-4

• UDC secured a three point lead at 1:35 and ended the quarter ahead, 14-11.

SECOND QUARTER

• Freshman, Isabella Kostyal-Larrier starts off the quarter with a singular free throw at 9:24. (14-12)

• The Firebirds take a six point lead but it is broken by Jankovic with a layup at 6:59. (20-14)

• Jankovic put in eight more points before the end of the half but the District of Columbia ended the second up 33-22.

THIRD QUARTER

• Jankovic started the scoring for both teams this quarter with yet another three-pointer at 8:42, bringing the score to 33-25.

• D'Youville is unable to make any baskets until Jankovic makes a pair of free throws at 3:33. (41-27)

• UDC widens the margin and ends the quarter up 55-29.

FOURTH QUARTER

• The Saints were unable to get their hands on the ball until Sofie Fuglsang sank a layup at 7:27, putting the score at 60-31.

• From 6:38 to 1:59, layups are made by Morgan Giancaterino, Stella Mollica and Tamia Murphy.

• Freshman, Giancaterino, puts away the final three points for DYU with a singular free throw and a layup. Final score, UDC took the game 80-40.
