BUFFALO, N.Y. — The D'youville University women's basketball team faced Mercy College in the evening of Friday, Feb.17. With players Brianne Moxley chipping in 14 points, Stella Mollica with 13 and Haley Kirisits with 11, the Saints took the win 68-49.

FIRST QUARTER

• Moxley sank a three-point jumper to start off the match at 9:41. (3-0)

• Madison Clark rips the lead away from the Mavericks putting the Saints ahead 9-8 at 4:36.

• Mollica makes a singular free throw with four seconds left to bring D'Youville to 19-16 at the end of the first quarter. 

SECOND QUARTER

• Just 57 seconds into the quarter, Anna Jankovic puts away another three-pointer for the team. (22-16)

• DYU is able to extend their lead by 10 at 6:35 with a jumper made by Izabella Zirzow. (26-16)

• Mollica makes a deep two with four seconds left taking D'Youville into the half up 37-21.

THIRD QUARTER

• The Saints had a rough start in the quarter until Kirisits found the outlet to make a layup at 7:17. (39-25)

• Mollica hits a three-point jump shot, breaking 40 points for DYU at 5:40. (42-27)

• Kirisits brings the Saints to 50 with a pair of free throws at 2:04. The quarter ends with the Saints leading 50-33.

FOURTH QUARTER

• The score stays steady for the Saints until Jankovic makes a singular shot from the stripe at 8:38. Not even a full minute later does Jankovic strike again with a layup at 7:55. (53-36)

• About halfway through the quarter, Jaelyn Vleer-Elliott made a jump shot. (59-38)

• With 50 seconds left to solidify the win, Freshman, Madison Clark, will sink the three and the Saints take home the victory, 68-49.
