Box Score Buffalo, N.Y. — The D'Youville University women's basketball team welcomed the Cavaliers of Walsh University to the College Center on Tuesday, Feb. 14 for a matchup at 5 P.M. After a long matchup for the Cavaliers, the Saints took the game 72-64. Anna Jankovic put away 26 points for the Saints during the game with four three pointers in the first half of the game.
FIRST QUARTER

Brianne Moxley put the Saints on the board early in the matchup with a layup at 9:47. She was assisted by Stella Mollica.

Anna Jankovic hit her first two three pointers of the game at 7:41 (5-2) and 5:29 (8-4).

Vleer-Elliott hit a board making the score 11-13. The layup occurred at 2:23 and was assisted by Madison Clark. Jankovic went on to collect two more points when she closed off the quarter with a layup at 0:02. (18-11)
SECOND QUARTER

Jankovic hit two consecutive three pointers 8:40 (21-14) and 7:41 (24-14), bringing the Saints to their first double digit lead of the game.

Sofie Fuglsang made two consecutive layups at 6:56 (26-14) and 6:21 (28-14) bringing the lead for DYU to 14 points.

Haley Kirisits hit two consecutive layups and added on a free-throw before Jankovic and Morgan Giancaterino each added layups to the total. This took the Saints into the half up by 12, 37-25.
THIRD QUARTER

Walsh began the quarter, lowering the Saints lead by nine with three separate three pointers by two key players.

With help from Kirisits, Mollica, and Vleer-Elliott, the Saints were able to bring the lead back to 11 by 4:08.

Vleer-Elliott ended the quarter for the Saints with two consecutive layups at 1:20 (52-43) and 37 seconds (54-43) before Walsh struck back with a layup at 19 seconds.
FOURTH QUARTER

Kirisits began the scoring of the quarter for the Saints at 8:29 with a layup. (56-47)

Mollica helped the Saints break 60 points with a jumper at 6:02.

With three layups and six free throws, D'Youville took the game, 72-64.
