EUCLID, OH – The D'Youville University men's basketball team was defeated by Notre Dame College (OH) on Saturday by a score of 91-81.

Trayton Trice (Romeoville, Ill.) made an impact on both sides of the ball for the Saints, dropping a team-high 27 points while also grabbing a team-high eight rebounds.
Chase Jenkins (Titusville, Fla.) made four three-pointers on his way to a 14-point performance.
Noah Hutchins (Buffalo, N.Y.) added 11 points, seven rebounds, and a team-high four assists.

The Saints got out to a 5-0 lead after a three-point play and layup from Trice. An 8-0 run put Notre Dame in front 8-5 at the 16:34 mark. A three-pointer from Jenkins put a stop to the Falcons' run and tie the game up at eight. Three-pointers from Trice and Jenkins put the Saints back in front 16-12 with 14:35 remaining in the half. Jenkins continued his three-point barrage, dropping in two more from beyond the arc to make it 22-17 DYU with 12 minutes to go in the half.

Hutchins cashed in from three-point land and
Nasir Hammonds (Norfolk, Va.) converted a three-point play to extend the Saints' lead to nine with 10:03 left until half. A layup from
Renard Fontes-Jules (Brockton, Mass.) kept the lead at nine with 7:22 remaining. An 11-0 run from Notre Dame put them ahead 38-36 with 5:15 to go in the half. Trice tied the game up at 40 with a layup with at the 3:07 mark. The Falcons would take a 48-45 lead heading into halftime.

A layup from Trice followed by a close-range jumper from
Luke Theisen (Lake View, N.Y.) tied the game up at 53 early in the second half. The Saints retook the lead at the 13:24 mark on a layup from Trice. After the Falcons retook the lead, Hammonds knotted the game back up with a layup. A 17-2 run over the next five minutes gave Notre Dame a commanding 15-point lead, which they would not relinquish. D'Youville was able to get back within eight after a 13-6 run with 2:34 left in the second half, but that was the closest they would get.

th, at 1:00 p.m. when they travel to Salem University.
