BUFFALO – The D'Youville University women's basketball team will travel to Michigan this weekend for a pair of games against Grand Valley State University and Wayne State University.

The Saints defeated Roberts Wesleyan on the road in their ECC opener on Wednesday by a score of 54-51. The Saints held a slim 18-17 lead going into halftime. A 12-2 run in the third quarter gave DYU a 37-33 advantage heading to the fourth quarter. The Saints stretched their lead out to eleven points in the fourth quarter, which would prove to be insurmountable for the Redhawks. Sophomore Morgan Giancaterino (Orchard Park, N.Y.) and junior Stella Mollica (Shillington, Pa.) led DYU in scoring with 11 points each. Mollica also made an impact on the defensive side of the ball, tallying four steals. Junior Anna Jankovic (Averill Park, N.Y.) turned in her second double-double of the season with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
