BUFFALO – The D'Youville University women's basketball team begins their regular season schedule this weekend as they travel to Sparkill, N.Y. to face Dominican University (N.Y.) and American International University in the STAC Basketball Challenge.

The Saints faced St. Bonaventure University in an exhibition game last Saturday, falling to the Bonnies by a score of 62-48. DYU gave the Bonnies a tough test, as they went into halftime tied and only trailed by seven entering the fourth quarter before SBU pulled away at the end. Junior Stella Mollica (Shillington, Pa.) and junior Anna Jankovic (Averill Park, N.Y.) led the Saints in scoring with 12 points each. Junior Sofie Fuglsang (Oberanven, Luxembourg) also chipped in nine points, all coming from behind the arc. Jankovic and Carla Torrubia Cano (Melilla, Spain) both grabbed a team-high five rebounds.
