BUFFALO, N.Y.- The D'Youville University Women's Volleyball Team is gearing up to host back-to-back ECC Conference matchups on Saturday, October 21^st against St. Thomas Aquinas College at 12:00 PM and on Sunday, October 22^nd against Mercy University at 12:00 PM.

Saints vs Spartans History
The Saints and Spartans met up on October 7th for their first Division II matchup in Sparkill, N.Y. St. Thomas Aquinas took the match 3-1. The Spartans led in points, kills, aces, assists, and digs, but the Saints had the advantage with seven blocks compared to the Spartans six. Madeline O'Brien (East Amherst, N.Y.) led with 14 kills and 12 digs in the match while Samantha Killane (Vero Beach, Fla./ Lincoln Park Academy) had a team-high three serving aces.
 
On the opposing side, Jaizahir Marrero-George led with 17 kills, five blocks, and 12 digs. Aurivette Santos Bonilla had the team-high three aces and Lea Venghaus kept the offense together with 25 assists.
 
Saints vs Mavericks History
The Saints and Mavericks last saw each other on October 8^th in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. where the Mavericks took the match 3-1 from the Saints. Mercy is currently third in the conference right now, but the Saints fought hard in their last matchup and hope to come out victorious. O'Brien again led the Saints offense in their previous meeting with 13 kills while Mitha Hatwar (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty) recorded 29 assists.
 
The Mavericks put up strong numbers with Julia Pomerleau leading the offense with 17 kills. Yarianne Gonzalez recorded 49 assists and Larissa Schneid had 12 assists.
