ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – Wrapping up their two-game road trip, the D'Youville University men's soccer team fell to Molloy University by a score of 3-0 in East Coast Conference action.
The Saints (0-10, 0-5 ECC) fell behind in the 11th minute as the Lions (3-9-3, 2-3-1 ECC) got into the scoring column.
Aaron Baffour (Anchorage, Alaska) tried to knot things up in the 20th minute, but his shot was blocked by the Molloy defender.
The Lions scored a pair of goals in the 23rd and 24th minute to have the 3-0 advantage.
Ethan Robinson (Toronto, Ontario) had an opportunity toto get one back in the 25th minute but was turned away from the Lions' keeper.
Continuing the attack,
Ben Calkins (East Grinstead, England) had a look in the 41st minute but was turned away. One last effort before the break, Robinson got off another shot, but it was saved by Molloy.
DYU had a look in the 50th minute of play with both Baffour and Robinson getting off headers but were both slightly off target.
Jake Marks (London, England) went 82 minutes in net, making six saves on nine attempts, as he held the Lions offense scoreless in the second half.
Josh Marer (Cohoes, N.Y.) finished the last eight minutes of the game in net, helping contribute to the scoreless second half of paly.
The Saints will return home this Saturday, October 21st, as they host the College of Staten Island for a 2:30 p.m. kick.
