Box Score BUFFALO, N.Y. - The D'Youville University Women's Volleyball Team lost 3-0 to Daemen University at home on Thursday night.

D'Youville University 0 vs Daemen University 3 – (18-25, 19-25, 16-25)
First Set
Match play started even between the Wildcats and Saints as a Wildcats error tied the game at four. From there, the Wildcats expanded their lead jumping out to a 13-7 lead. Back-to-back kills from Giselle Ramirez (Miam, Fla./School for Advanced Studies) and Madeline O'Brien (East Amherst, N.Y.) brought the score to 13-9, but the Wildcats would not give up the lead. A Wildcats service error made the score 24-18 in the Wildcats favor, and they would go on to take the set 25-18.

Second Set
The second set began much like the first, with the game tied at four and then the Wildcats taking the lead. A kill by Eve Musielak (Eden. N.Y./Eden) brought the Saints within one, but the Wildcats refused to give up the lead. The Wildcats reached 24, but a kill from Giselle Ramirez kept the game alive for one serve longer. The Wildcats would take the second set 25-19 on the next serve.

Third Set
The Wildcats took the 11-7 lead in set three, but the Saints still had some fight in them. The Saints out together a five-point run to come back and take the 12-11 lead after a service ace from Samantha Killane (Vero Beach, Fla./Lincoln Park Academy). The Wildcats came back hard and regained the lead holding it for the remainder of the set, winning 25-16 and the match 3-0.

The D'Youville University Women's Volleyball Team takes a break this weekend. But is back at home next weekend for a match against St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday, October 21 at 12:00pm. The Saints will then face off with Mercy University on Sunday, October 22 at 12:00pm as well.
