ALBANY, N.Y. — The D'Youville University women's basketball squad traveled to face the Golden Knights of the College of Saint Rose (STR). After finishing the first quarter on a high note, D'Youville was unable to keep up with Saint Rose and found themselves on the wrong side of the scoreboard losing 65-50.

Brianne Moxley was able to chip in  12 points and Anna Jankovic followed along with nine points and 10 rebounds.

FIRST QUARTER

• Stella Mollica was able to set the tone early on with a jump shot 34 seconds in.

• After two jump shots made by Moxley three minutes into the quarter, D'Youville sat ahead at 6-5 until Madison Clark made a jump shot at 2:24.

• Not even 30 seconds later, Morgan Giancaterino chimed in with another two points. Before the end of the quarter, Jankovic and Jaelyn Vleer-Elliott added two more buckets. D'Youville ended the quarter up 14-7.

SECOND QUARTER

• DYU wasn't able to get the ball rolling in the second until Izabella Zirzow made a layup at 6:37, and put the team up 16-13.

• Four minutes into the quarter, Haley Kirisits added her name to the board with a jump shot making the score 18-13.

  Though DYU was only one point short, Isabella Kostyal-Larrier took the team into the half with a three-point jump shot, putting DYU ahead 28-27.

THIRD QUARTER

• Vleer-Elliott started off the scoring for the half at 8:34 with a layup, making the score DYU 30-29.

• Jankovic tied up the score at 32-32 with a three-point jumper at 7:46.

• Kostyal-Larrier hit from behind the arc at 1:13 but STR won the quarter 21-15 to take a 49-42 advantage into the fourth.

FOURTH QUARTER

• Kirisits began the scoring for DYU at 8:15 with two points, 51-44.

• Saint Rose went on a 7-0 run until it was stopped by Jankovic at 3:54.

• Moxley was able to make a pair of baskets at 1:38 and 1:03 but the Saints trailed 60-50 as Saint Rose took the win, 65-50.
