BUFFALO, N.Y.- The D'Youville University men's basketball team competed against the Lakers of Mercyhurst University dropping, 89-54 from Owen McCormick Court.

STAT OF THE MATCH

• Willie Kondrat led the Saints scoring efforts with 15 and seven rebounds.

FIRST HALF

• Saints got after it defensively early as Renard Fontes Jules recorded the first steal of the evening.
• The first timeout of the game was called after a 17-3 run produced by Mercyhurst.
• Closed the quarter with a jump shot coming from Luke Theisen.

SECOND HALF

• Saints were able to secure the first points of the half coming off a layup from Kondrat.
• The defense of the Saints performed well for the last 6:16 of the half keeping Mercyhurst to nine points.
• Forced Mercyhurst to commit six turnovers accounting for two in the last five minutes of the half.

Head Coach of the men's basketball team Andy Stark elaborated on the Saints performance tonight, "It was great to go on the road and play great competition. We look forward to getting back on the road tomorrow to NYC for two conference games."
