OPENING FIVE
1. The Saints are coming off a heart-stopping 83-80 season opening victory over Mansfield University at home on Saturday, Nov. 12. D'Youville saw five players score double-digit figures, with Bryson Birdsong leading they way at 21 points. Luke Theisen was right behind with 16 points; while graduate transfer Willie Kondrat dropped 12 and grabbed 13 rebounds for his first double-double in the red and black. Kevin Thompson and Mason Putnam rounded out the double-digit scoring efforts with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
2. Two Saints were perfect from the free throw line against Mansfield, as Birdsong went 10-for-10 and Theisen went 4-for-4.
3. The Saints' bench combined for a total of 32 points and nine rebounds.
4. Head coach Andy Stark picked up his first head coaching win of his career; giving the crowd a show to watch in a heated College Center Gym.
5. In just the first game of the season, the Saints shot 88% from the charity stripe.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Wheeling University is 0-2 on the year, falling to California University of Pennsylvania and Shepherd University this past weekend. The Cardinals are averaging 73 points-per-game in their first two games, looking at a .470 field-goal percentage. Wheeling University is also shooting .786 from the free-throw line, averaging 11 made free throws per game. Individually, the Saints will have to try to keep the ball out of Marcus Johnson's hands, who currently leads the team with 45 points. John Korte and Johnson have spent significant time at the free-throw line, averaging a combined .913 free-throw percentage. The two also lead the Cardinals in rebounds, each grabbing 11 so far on the season.
