BUFFALO, N.Y. – The D'Youville women's basketball team's second-half slump led to an 85-59 loss to UDC Friday evening. Riley Riedel led the way for the Saints, scoring 16 while going 1-for-2 from beyond the arc. The Marilla, N.Y. native recorded four blocks and grabbed seven off the glass in the Saint's defeat. Sara Pfeiffer was just behind with 15 points.

First Quarter Notables

• It was a balanced first quarter of the game, as UDC led 19-17 leading into the first break.
• The Saints shot 50% from the three, while the Firebirds shot 16.7% going 1-for-6.
• Riley Riedel and Sara Pfeiffer led the way for the Saints in the first quarter, scoring seven points apiece.
• Anna Jankovic added two points, while Haleigh Schafer had one.
• Jankovic led the Saints off the glass, grabbing six rebounds, while Schafer and Riedel each had two.
• Stella Mollica and Jankovic each had a steal.

Second Quarter Notables

• A strong second quarter helped the Saints to take the lead, 36-32, leading in to the intermission.
• Riedel continued to shine for D'Youville, leading ht eway with nine points, four rebounds,a nd two blocks.

• Haley Kirisits grabbed five rebounds off the glass, while Jaelyn Vleer-Elliot had four and Mollica had two.

Third Quarter Notables

• UDC had a strong third quarter to take the lead, 56-43.
• Kirisits led the way with five points for the Saints, while Vleer-Elliot and Jankovic each had two.
• Jankovic had four rebounds, while Pfeiffer had two.

Fourth Quarter Notables

• Timid play from the Saints let the Firebirds outscore them 29-14 in the fourth quarter.
• Sofie Fuglsang led the way with four points, while Brianne Moxley and Mollica had three apiece.
• Bailey Carlson and Fuglsang each had three rebounds to pace the Saints.
