Box Score BUFFALO, N.Y. – The D'Youville women's basketball team fell 46-79 to cross-town East Coast Conference member Daemen Tuesday evening at the College Center Gym. Sara Pfeiffer led the way for the Saints, scoring 12 points, while Haleigh Schafer added 10 of her own.
First Quarter Notables
- The Wildcats led the way going into the first break, 21-20 behind Mickay;a Ivy and Katie Titus' six points apiece.
- Pfeiffer led the way for all scorers in the first 10 minutes of the game, dropping 10 points going 2-for-3 from beyond the arc.
- Riley Riedel had a nice showing in the first quarter, scoring five points while going 1-for-2 from the three-point line. The Marilla, N.Y. native also recorded a block and three rebounds.
- Anna Jankovic and Pfeiffer had three rebounds apiece.
- Haleigh Schafer had one steal.
Second Quarter Notables
- The Wildcats pulled away in the fast-paced second quarter, 39-27.
- Jankovic, Pfeiffer, and Schafer had two points each for the Saints.
- Jaelyn Vleer-Elliot had four rebounds.
Third Quarter Notables
- The Wildcats' defense shut down the Saints in the third quarter of the game, as D'Youville was only able to put up seven points.
- Shafer led the way, going 1-for-2 from beyond the arc. Jankovic and Vleer-Elliot added to the scoring efforts, each draining one from the paint.
- Vleer-Elliot grabbed three rebounds off the glass.
Fourth Quarter Notables
- It was a team effort in the final quarter of the game as six Saints each scored two points.
- Brianne Moxley, Jankovic, and Schafer each had two rebounds.
- Vleer-Elliot added a steal to her stat line.
