Three Saints hit Double Digits in 76-72 loss to Queens (N.Y.)

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The D'Youville women's basketball team fell to Queens College (N.Y.), 76-72, Friday night at the College Center Gym. Sara Pfeiffer led the way with 22 points. Jaelyn Vleer-Elliot had 17, while Haleigh Schafer added in 15. Anna Jankovic had three steals, while Stella Mollica and Vleer-Elliot each had two.

First Quarter Notables

  • Queens College took an early 10-0 lead in the first five minutes of the game, off of Chelsea Reeves and Tsahai Corbie's four points apiece.
  • Haleigh Shafer opened the scoring for the Saints, while senior Sarah Pfeiffer added a quick six points off of two three pointers to cut the lead to 10-8.
  • Pfeiffer's eight points in the first quarter of the game helped the Saints cut the Knights' lead to 17-15 going into the first break.
