BUFFALO, N.Y. – The D'Youville women's basketball team fell to Queens College (N.Y.), 76-72, Friday night at the College Center Gym. Sara Pfeiffer led the way with 22 points. Jaelyn Vleer-Elliot had 17, while Haleigh Schafer added in 15. Anna Jankovic had three steals, while Stella Mollica and Vleer-Elliot each had two.

First Quarter Notables

• Queens College took an early 10-0 lead in the first five minutes of the game, off of Chelsea Reeves and Tsahai Corbie's four points apiece.
• Haleigh Shafer opened the scoring for the Saints, while senior Sarah Pfeiffer added a quick six points off of two three pointers to cut the lead to 10-8.
• Pfeiffer's eight points in the first quarter of the game helped the Saints cut the Knights' lead to 17-15 going into the first break.

Second Quarter Notables

• The Saints took the lead going into the intermission. Pfeiffer led the way for the Saints with 14 points in the second 10 minutes of the game, going 6-for-12 from beyond the arc.
• Schafer and Jaelyn Vleer-Elliot added to the scoring efforts, dropping five each from the floor.
• Freshman Anna Jankovic went 1-1 from the three, adding in two assists and one steal.
• The Saints' three-point percentage helped them to their lead in the second, shooting an impressive 85.7% from beyond the arc.
• Shafer's impressive defensive efforts helped the Saints in the paint, blocking two shots. Riley Riedel and Vleer-Elliot each had one.

Third Quarter Notables

• The Saints outscored the Knights, 19-15, in the third quarter.
• Pfeiffer and Vleer-Elliot led the way with six points apiece.
• Riedel and Brianne Moxley had a block each.
• The Saints outrebounded the Knights 12-10.

Fourth Quarter Notables

• Vleer-Elliot had another six point quarter in the final 10 minutes of the game.
• Shafer added four points, while Moxley and Sofie Fuglsang each had two.
• The Knights hit a three with 26.5 seconds left on the clock to take the lead 73-70, sealing the win at the charity stripe, going 3-for-4.
