Clermont, FL-Softball opened the season with a pair of games played at the National Training Center in Clermont, Florida.

D'Youville lost their first game of the day 5-3 to Carelton College (MN).

The Spartans dropped their second game of the day 13-0 to Trinity College (CT). Kalie McHenry (Amherst, NY/Sweet Home) had two hits, one a double. MacKenzie Kehlenbeck (Oakfield, NY/Oakfield-Alabama) also doubled.

D'Youville continues play in Florida tomorrow (Mar. 22) with a 1 p.m. game versus SUNY Geneseo and a 3:00 p.m. meeting against Elmhurst College (IL).
