Altoona, PA-Three Spartan players carried the load in today's 79-74 loss at Penn State Altoona.

Alexis Smith (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) scored a game-high 24 points, followed by Shannon Dougherty (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) with 20 points. Bridget Andrews (Amherst, NY/Sacred Heart Academy)chipped in 17 points making it a combined 61 points for the three D'Youville starters.

The Spartans just ran out of time in this game. D'Youville trailed by 12 in the second-half and whittled it down to four with 2:30 left. The lead got back to 9 and D'Youville played catch-up again to make it a four-point difference as time expired.

D'Youville will play at Pitt-Bradford February 11th. Start time is at 6:00 p.m.
