Buffalo, NY-Alexis Smith (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) continued her hot hand, scoring a team-high 17 points, and Bridget Andrews (Amherst, NY/Sacred Heart Academy) added 11 points in the Spartan's 63-48 loss to Pitt-Bradford in the College Center Gym.

Smith came into the game averaging just over 20 a game over the last four played, shot 6 of 10 from the floor and 5 of 7 from the free-throw line. The stat line for the Spartan's center also included 6 rebounds and 2 blocked shots.

The Spartans got good production from their bench tonight. Sarah Marino (Buffalo, NY/Holy Angels Academy) scored 7 points and Lynn-Lee Stresing (Eden, NY/Eden) scored two points and grabbed four rebounds in 15 minutes of play.

In the second-half, D'Youville outscored Pitt-Bradford 34-33 but the damage was done in the first half. The Spartans made just 5 field-goals and scored only 14 points in the game's first 20 minutes.

D'Youville is now 5-8 in AMCC play and will face conference rival Pitt-Greensburg February 2nd in the College Center Gym. Start time is 2:00 p.m.
