Pittsburgh, PA-Freshman center Alexis Smith (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) had a record setting day with a game-high 30 points in the Spartan's 76-48 loss at AMCC leader La Roche. Smith also collected a team-high 7 rebounds in the contest.

The 30-point afternoon makes it the highest single-game total ever recorded by a freshman at D'Youville. Smith's shooting line was 12 for 21 from the floor and 6 from 8 from the free-throw line. It is the first time in four years a D'Youville women's basketball player scored 30 in a single-game.  The last was Christine Halter with 31 points at Pitt-Bradford January 4, 2009.

Shannon Dougherty (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) was the next highest D'Youville scorer with 7 points.
