West Seneca, NY (9/27/11)-The D'Youville College men's soccer team played their first match of the season on the home side. D'Youville gave up three first-half goals to lose 3-1 to Pitt-Bradford.

Josh Pfuntner (Wayland, NY/Wayland-Cohocton) scored for D'Youville in the eighty-eighth minute, assisted by Stephen Acheampong (Bronx, NY/Christopher Columbus). Pfuntner also had an apparent goal disallowed in the eighty-first minute.

In the women's game, visiting Pitt-Bradford scored three first half goals to defeat D'Youville 3-0.

The next date for D'Youville soccer is October 1st versus La Roche College. The site will be Riverside High School (51 Ontario St.; Buffalo) and the start time for the men's game is 6:00 p.m. with the women's contest to follow at 8:00 p.m.
