Mike Taraboletti was named the head coach of D’Youville University women’s rowing in September of 2025, bringing collegiate coaching experience, strong local rowing ties, and a passion for student-athlete development to the Saints program.
A Western New York native, Taraboletti most recently served as assistant men’s rowing coach and recruiting coordinator at Bates College, where he oversaw athlete training, strength and conditioning, equipment management, and nationwide recruiting efforts.
He has also coached with the Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association and at SUNY Geneseo, where he began his coaching career while completing his degree in biology with a focus on environmental science. As a student-athlete at Geneseo, Taraboletti competed for the rowing club and served as team captain, while also rowing for the West Side Rowing Club and Saint Joseph’s Collegiate Institute Rowing.
In addition to his rowing background, Taraboletti has worked in environmental education, conservation, and logistics planning, professional experiences that have helped shape his leadership and communication style. He also holds certifications in CPR/First Aid, boating, kayaking instruction, and interpretive guiding.
