Kellie Peiper

Kellie Peiper, M.Ed., CMPC

Kellie Peiper joined the D'Youville Athletics staff as the department's Sport Psychology Consultant in 2022, bringing more than two decades of experience in student-athlete wellness, mental performance, leadership development, and sport psychology. A Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), Peiper works closely with D'Youville student-athletes, coaches, and administrators to enhance mental performance, promote overall well-being, and provide life skills education that supports success both in competition and beyond.

Prior to joining D'Youville, Peiper spent more than 20 years at the University at Buffalo, where she served in several leadership roles, including Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Wellness. During her tenure, she developed and directed comprehensive programming focused on mental health, sport psychology, leadership, violence prevention, and student-athlete development while also serving as a trusted resource for coaches, administrators, and families. In addition to her work in collegiate athletics, she continues to provide mental performance consulting through her private practice, Kellie Peiper Sports, and serves as an approved mentor for future Certified Mental Performance Consultants through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.

Peiper also teaches sport psychology courses at the University at Buffalo and has previously taught at Medaille University, sharing her expertise with the next generation of coaches, counselors, and sport professionals. She earned her Master of Education in Kinesiology/Sport Psychology from Temple University and her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a coaching minor from Shippensburg University, where she was a 12-time NCAA Division II All-American swimmer and team captain.
