John Scaglione joined the D’Youville University Athletics department as the Assistant Athletic Director of Operations in 2026, bringing experience in collegiate athletics operations, event management, staff supervision and marketing to the Saints.
Scaglione previously served as a Graduate Assistant at Canisius College, where he was involved in tournament planning and live event logistics for approximately 100 events annually. He also oversaw 45 employees across three athletic facilities, assisting with hiring, interviewing and onboarding while helping develop an employee handbook for facility operations.
Most recently, Scaglione worked as a Coordinator of Promotional and Branded Merchandise with Adpro Sports/Legends, collaborating with sales and design teams to develop client pitches, product decks and branded merchandise. He earned his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Canisius College in 2022 after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and Coaching from SUNY Brockport in 2019. He also holds certifications in Google Ads Search, Search Marketing and SEO Optimization, as well as New York State coaching certifications.
