Ian De Wilde joined the D'Youville University men's volleyball program as a Graduate Assistant Coach in July 2025, bringing extensive experience as both a collegiate student-athlete and coach. In his role, De Wilde assists with recruiting, scouting, practice planning and facilitation, and film breakdown while helping support the day-to-day operations of the Saints' program.
De Wilde played men's volleyball at D'Youville from 2021-25, serving as a team captain and President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) during the 2024-25 academic year. He earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors three times and was a two-time ECC Commissioners Honor Roll selection. De Wilde also brings extensive youth coaching experience, currently serving as the head coach of Lockport Volleyball Club's 16U boys team and previously coaching at multiple age levels. He has also led volleyball camps and clinics for local high school athletes through Impact Fitness System. De Wilde earned his bachelor's degree in Business Management with a minor in Exercise Sport Science from D'Youville in 2025 and is pursuing his Master of Business Administration, expected in December 2026.
