A standout athlete during his collegiate career, Ethan played in 236 games, achieving a remarkable .322 batting average with 236 hits, 168 walks, 145 RBIs, 63 doubles, and 14 home runs between his time at Trinidad State (Division I JUCO) and D’Youville University. His contributions at Trinidad State were pivotal in leading his team to a Region 9 Conference Championship and a berth in the NJCAA Super Regionals in 2019, where he was recognized for his exceptional defensive skills as a Region 9 First Team All-Defense selection.
Ethan’s accolades continued throughout his college career, earning All-Conference honors multiple times. He was named to the Region 9 All-Conference team in 2021 and the ECC First Team All-Conference in 2022, where he set D’Youville records for single-season hits and total bases. His prowess at the plate did not go unnoticed; he also set records for doubles, runs scored, and walks at D’Youville during his time as a player.
In addition to his collegiate accomplishments, Ethan showcased his talent in the IBL, where he maintained a career batting average of .311. His standout performance earned him All-Star honors in 2022 and he was a runner-up for the Rookie of the Year award that same year.
