Christian Moon joined the D'Youville Athletics staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer following the completion of his athletic training education at Alfred University. In his role, Moon provides comprehensive medical coverage for the Saints' student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and game-day coverage while helping maintain the department's athletic training facilities.
Moon earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Alfred University in 2025 and is currently completing his Master of Business Administration. He is a Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) and Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with certifications in First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, and HIPAA compliance. During his education, he accumulated more than 900 clinical hours through rotations at Alfred University, Alfred State College, Maple City Physical Therapy, the University of Rochester Urgent Care, and Wayland Family & Sports Medicine Clinic. His experience included working with a wide variety of collegiate sports, including football, basketball, soccer, wrestling, lacrosse, track and field, tennis, swimming and diving, cross country, and softball.
In addition to his clinical experience, Moon served as a Graduate Assistant in Alfred University's College of Business, where he hired and supervised game-day staff while assisting with event management for the university's athletic programs. A former varsity soccer and lacrosse student-athlete, he also served as President of the Athletic Training Student Body Association and earned recognition as a Dean's List student, Saxon Scholar-Athlete, and recipient of both Alfred University and Empire 8 Athlete of the Week honors.
