D'Youville University

Rice was announced as the new head coach of the women's tennis program on July 13, 2021. 

Rice was recently a tennis instructor at Niagara Falls Country Club after a four-year career at Edinboro University (Pa.). Rice helped run the junior tennis program and organized matches for junior players. She also taught group and private lessons for players ranging from five to 18 years old at Niagara Falls CC and ran kids camp.

“I am excited and want to thank Ona, Rebecca [Capinera], and the search committee for this opportunity to join D’Youville,” said Rice. “I am looking forward to working with the women’s tennis team as we approach the upcoming season.”

The former Fighting Scot was a member of the first NCAA Tournament team in program history in 2017.

D’Youville is coming off its first season of a three-year transition before becoming a full Division II and East Coast Conference member. The Saints made the AMCC semifinals back in 2019, their final year of competition at the Division III level.
